Wordscapes answers helper
Enter the letters in your Wordscapes wheel and the helper lists every word they spell, longest first, so you can fill the crossword for any level. Letters are used once per word, like the wheel. Add the letters already revealed in a row to see only the words that fit that row.

Worked example
With the wheel letters STREAM, the helper finds 111 words. Six letters: MASTER, STREAM, MATRES, TAMERS, MATERS, RAMETS, ARMETS. Five letters include TEAMS, TERMS, STEAM, RATES, SMART, TEARS. If the long row in your grid is already showing an S first and an M last, typing S????M into Known letters leaves only the six-letter words that fit.
How to use the Wordscapes helper
Wordscapes, from PeopleFun, shows a wheel of letters under a small crossword. You drag across the wheel to spell words; each correct word fills its row or column. A letter in the wheel can only be used once in a word, and the crossword tells you how many words of each length are left.
- Type the wheel letters. Order doesn't matter. If the wheel shows two Es, type two Es.
- Leave the shortest length at 3, which matches most levels, or raise it to hide short words once you've found them.
- Target a row by typing the letters it already shows into Known letters, with
?for each blank square.
Strategy that works on hard levels
Start with the longest row. It always uses every letter in the wheel, and once it is in, every crossing word gets a free letter. The helper's top group is exactly those full-length words; usually only one or two are common enough to be the answer.
Next, work the crossings. A four-letter column that crosses the long row at its second letter must start with a letter you already know; type it into Known letters (?T?? becomes, for example, ST??) and the list shrinks to a few candidates. Plurals and past tenses come in pairs: if TEAM fits, check TEAMS; if MATE fits, try MATES and MATED.
Wordscapes favours everyday vocabulary in the crossword and leaves rarer words as extras, so read each group from the top. The faded words in the helper are rare in everyday English; they rarely appear in the grid but can still count as extra words.
Limits
The helper doesn't see your crossword, so it can't tell which words you've already placed. Wordscapes also uses its own dictionary; ours is the public-domain ENABLE list, so the two disagree on a few rare words.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a Wordscapes answer key by level number?
No. Level answer keys are copies of the game. This helper works from the letters you type, so it works for every level, daily puzzle and tournament round.
How many letters can I enter?
Up to 15. Wordscapes wheels usually have five to seven letters; type repeated letters twice.
Why is a word I found not in the grid?
The grid holds only some of the words your letters make. Valid words that are not in the grid count as extra words in the game, which is why the helper shows more words than the level needs.
Can I search for one row of the crossword?
Yes. Type the row into Known letters, using ? for each empty square, for example S??AM. Only words of that length with those letters in place are shown.
